Windows has dominated PCs since before you were born
What's wrong with that?
Putting all your eggs in one basket is risky
Relying on a single food crop can be disasterous
Relying on a single operating system can lead to massive infections
Botnets are bigger than Google!
What to do?
Use design redundancy to protect against failure of a particular design
Use dual sourcing to protect against vendor failure
Migrate to Linux!
If computers are split 1/3 Windows, 1/3 Mac, 1/3 Linux, then
two thirds of computers are likely to be immune to any particular attack
And run your old Windows apps using Wine
Only problem: Wine doesn't support 64 bit apps yet
Some of the changes are simple
